The film and video industry employs over fifty thousand. TV and radio broadcasting employ fifteen thousand. Music, concerts, and stage shows employ tens of thousands. In order to fill the positions vacated by retirees and to provide for the current growth rate in the industry it is estimated that approximately 1,500 positions will need filling each year.

The 46664 concert broadcast to an estimated billion people was mixed on our console by one of our lecturers, assisted by our students.

FIFA employed more than forty of our students as sound technicians for the World Cup Kick-off Concert for special commentary broadcasts of dozens of FIFA matches.

Twelve recording studios are equipped with top professional mixing desks like the top of the range Avid S6, Lawo MC56, a 64 channel SSL 4000, an SSL C200, Studer Vista, three Amek models, and the rare and prestigious vintage Neve.

 

Live sound facilities include four Avid Venue consoles and four PA systems (JBL SRX, JBL Vertec line array, Nexo, and D&B line array).

Over 200 ProTools Ultimate digital audio workstations. 

A radio studio equipped with RCS software and Studer OnAir mixing and control.

Broadcast cameras and Tricaster 8000 and Black Magic vision mixing systems.

Extensive stage and video lighting infrastructure.

Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premier, and Apple Final Cut video editing systems.

Electronics laboratory and an anechoic chamber.
